A poster shared by the Mwaura family, appearing to offer their last born bachelor son, Gift Mirie Mwaura, to potential female suitors, has gained significant attention on social media.

The poster, which lists qualifications for interested applicants, includes having 'swag,' knowing no more than 12 Kikuyu words, loving meat, and acquiring American accents when speaking to Americans.

However, according to Nairobi News, Mr. Gift Mwaura confirmed that the poster was a prank by his twin brother, serving as payback for a similar joke he had played earlier.

Mr. Mwaura explained that he had shared a similar poster of his brother on a WhatsApp group, but did not expect his brother to retaliate on a public platform like Facebook.

Response and Consequences

Despite being a prank, the viral poster has attracted numerous text messages and notifications on Mr. Mwaura's social media platforms, with over 300 notifications per day on Facebook from interested women.

Mr. Mwaura, a 26-year-old manager at a digital agency, has engaged with some of the interested women in chats and is considering meeting them in person.
