A family in Kisii county has expressed joy after their triplets, who sat the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination, all scored A minus.
The 17-year-old triplets, Anyona Nyakundi, Brian Nyakundi, and Nick Nyakundi, attained 76, 75, and 79 points respectively. According to an interview with People Daily, Anyona attributed their success to hard work and determination.
The brothers were part of over 1,000 students from Kisii Boys National School who celebrated the school’s good performance in the streets of Kisii town.
The school’s results showed that out of 384 candidates, 34 scored A plain, 138 A minus, 91 B plus, 64 B plain, 17 C plus, and one C minus, with a mean score of 10. The school’s Principal, Casper Maina, reported these results.
In another instance of academic achievement, Peter Nyonga Kerama from Kiongongi village in Kisii county scored A plain with 83 points. Nyonga, a student at Maseno National School, had previously attained 378 marks in KCPE. His mother, Robina Kwamboka, stated that her son’s performance demonstrates that any child can succeed regardless of their background.
