A video showing a wealthy Cambridge student burning a £20 note (approximately KSh130) in front of a homeless man has gone viral online.
The incident has led to a petition calling for the student's expulsion from the university, with thousands of people already signing it.

In the video, the student approaches the homeless man, offers him money, and then sets the note on fire, saying, "I’ve changed it into fire!"
The homeless man described the incident as "absolutely disgusting, horrible and plain nasty."
Response and Consequences ¶
The student, identified as Ronald Coyne, an 18-year-old law student, has been removed from his position as communications officer for the Cambridge University Conservative Association.
A spokesperson for the association stated, "UCA committee became aware of serious allegations against Ronald Coyne late last week concerning his private behavior. There is no room for people who behave like that in our Association, any other University Association, or frankly our University."
There are rumors that Coyne was attempting to join the Bullingdon Club, an exclusive dining club for wealthy and prominent male students, which allegedly includes burning money in front of a homeless person as part of its initiation ceremony.
