Suspected armed raiders ambushed a National Youth Service lorry on Thursday morning and stole a consignment of food donated by Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri, which was intended for migrating residents of Baringo. The driver and other occupants were forced to flee for their lives.
In related violence, 8 people have been killed in the past five days, including two teachers. Over 30 schools have been closed due to ongoing banditry attacks in Baringo South and Baringo North sub-counties.
