According to renowned City lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi, President Uhuru Kenyatta and US President Barack Obama are allegedly grooming Chief of Defence Forces General Julius Waweru Karangi to succeed Uhuru when his term ends in 2022.
Ahmednasir revealed this information on his social media account, stating that Karangi is being prepared to take over after Uhuru's term ends.
Last month, Karangi visited the United States, where he received a medal from President Obama and engaged in secret talks with him for over two hours.
This development may pose a challenge for Deputy President William Ruto and his Kalenjin community, who are hoping that Ruto will succeed Uhuru in 2022.
