A photo from a wedding has been circulating on social media, showing a groomsman with his hand on the bride's backside. The image sparked ridicule and memes online, with some labeling the man in question a Certified Team Mafisi Member.
The wife of the groomsman, whose identity has not been disclosed by Nairobi News, took to Facebook to address the situation. She explained that her husband's actions were directed by a professional photographer during the photo shoot, and that her family, including her brother, the groom, had no issue with the pose.
In a since-deactivated Facebook post, the wife wrote,
If I may put it sooo eloquently for people to understand & get it, the best man is my hubby and I have no issue whatsoever. Since we already hired a professional photographer who was giving directions and doing the photo-shoot why don’t you shut the up and grow a brain.
Following the incident, the groomsman updated his social media account with photos of himself and his wife, appearing happy and in love. He later added privacy settings to his photos, posting that not every stressful situation requires a response.
