A terrorist attack on Garissa University College occurred at dawn on Thursday, resulting in the deaths of 147 students and injuries to 79 others. The assault was carried out by Al-Shabaab terrorists who shot their way into the institution.
According to Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery, the operation was declared officially over by Thursday evening at 9 pm.
The attackers also detonated suicide vests during the incident, causing injuries to some of the security forces involved.
