Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko has paid a Sh. 100,000 fine imposed on a grandmother who was arrested on Tuesday over contempt of court.
A rescue team acting on behalf of Senator Sonko paid the fine, resulting in the grandmother's release. The grandmother, a mother of two, had been taken into custody earlier in the week.
