On July 24, 2019, Tecno Mobile Kenya announced on Twitter that the latest update for the Camon 11 Pro fixes the issue of missing fonts.
The update, which was released to address the issue, has been confirmed to restore the fonts on the Camon 11 and Camon 11 Pro devices. This comes after the previous update removed the fonts, leaving users frustrated.
Other Tecno devices, including the Camon X Pro, Pouvoir 3, and others, were also affected by the issue. However, it appears that the latest update has only addressed the issue on the Camon 11 and Camon 11 Pro devices.
A user who updated their HiOS Launcher via the Play Store reported that the fonts were restored on their Pouvoir 3 device. However, another user reported that the fonts are back but only working on the home screen and not in other apps.
It is unclear whether the fix is part of an update to the HiOS Launcher or the entire system. Nevertheless, it is great to see that Tecno is living up to its promise of fixing the issue soon.
To confirm that fonts are back on your Tecno device, go to Settings > Theme & Lockscreen > My Font.
