On Sunday morning, thousands of participants gathered at the Nyayo National Stadium for the second edition of the First Lady Half Marathon.
The event, initiated by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta under the Beyond Zero campaign, aims to improve maternal healthcare across the country.
By 5:30 am, a majority of the runners had arrived at the venue. Within three hours, the surrounding streets and roads were filled with a sea of color and activity, as participants wore swirling purple shirts.
