A woman in Durban, South Africa, woke up to find a large black mamba snake curled up on her bed's headboard. The snake, which measured about two meters in length, later slithered under the bed.
The woman immediately called in a snake removal expert, Jason Arnold, to remove the venomous snake. Jason took a video of the removal and shared it online, showing the snake being safely removed from under the bed and taken away.
According to Jason, black mambas are generally shy snakes that try to avoid humans as much as possible. This, he explained, is why the snake did not attack the woman unprovoked. Jason also noted that he had previously removed larger black mambas, up to four meters in length, in the Durban area.
