Deputy President William Ruto is en route to Statehouse Nairobi for a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta, following a three-day period of tension.
The agenda and potential outcomes of the meeting are not yet clear, including whether Ruto has agreed to proposed cabinet changes and appointments to senior government positions.
According to reports, Ruto had expressed dissatisfaction with a list prepared by Statehouse officials, citing concerns that it did not reflect the 50:50 power-sharing agreement between URP and TNA.
Earlier, Ruto met briefly with some of his allies at his Karen residence, although details of their discussion were scarce at the time of this update.
