Residents of California ward in Nairobi's Eastleigh area received free medical check-ups. The medical camp was organised by MCA Hashim Kamau, the Association of Medical Students from the University of Nairobi, and Mother to Child Hospital.

Residents were screened for water-borne and other communicable diseases. Speaking during the event, Kamau urged residents to boil drinking water and ensure proper hygiene. He also appealed to them to sign up for the new NHIF scheme, stating it would help them when they fall sick.

Kamau called on the Nairobi government to ensure drugs are available.
