Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet and Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho received 11 wounded anti-riot officers at Wilson Airport. The 11 officers were wounded in the CORD anti-IEBC demonstrations in Kisumu county. They were airlifted to Nairobi to receive specialized treatment.
