A 37-year-old British man, who holds the distinction of being the most tattooed man in Britain, has spoken out about the challenges he faces due to his extensive body modifications, which include tattoos on almost every inch of his body, including his eyes.
According to his account, the man, formerly known as Matthew Whelan but now named 'Body Art', has experienced victimization, including a stabbing, which he describes as a hate crime. He also reports difficulties in securing employment due to his appearance being considered unprofessional by potential employers.
'Body Art' has invested nearly $50,000 in his tattoos and has undergone additional procedures, such as the removal of the tips of his bosom, to facilitate the tattooing process on his chest.
In response to his experiences, 'Body Art' is advocating for British authorities to establish protections against hate crimes and discrimination targeted at individuals with significant body modifications.
