A group of reformed commercial sex workers and former gangsters from the Lungalunga area in Nairobi have formed an organization called Wajukuu Sisters. The group aims to change societal perceptions of girls in slums.
The Wajukuu Sisters are mentoring young girls and empowering them with entrepreneurial skills, including bead work and cleanup exercises. They also provide education on reproductive health.
