Residents in Kirinyaga County were involved in a confrontation that resulted in the death of a woman, Ms Mercy Ngangi, after she allegedly stabbed her husband.
According to the statement, the incident occurred on a Friday night at Mururi market, where Ms Ngangi's body was found slashed and set on fire.
The events leading up to the incident began when the husband, identified as Peter, confronted Ms Ngangi about alleged infidelity in their rental home. The situation escalated into a physical altercation, during which Ms Ngangi used a kitchen knife to stab Peter in the neck.
Following the stabbing, Peter alerted neighbors, who then rushed him to Kimbimbi Sub-County Hospital for treatment of his critical injuries.
