The couple had initially gained attention for their simple wedding, which cost only KSh 100. However, they later had a grand wedding worth KSh 3.5 million on Valentine's Day, complete with a fully paid honeymoon at a four-star hotel in Diani, Mombasa.
After returning to their home in Mwiki, Kasarani, photos of Anne wearing yellow slippers surfaced online, prompting Conso to share them on Facebook with a mean-spirited comment. According to Conso, the wedding was a waste of resources, and she claimed to sympathize with Anne, whom she referred to as a 'celeb'.
