Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is mourning the death of Christine Ombasa, a close associate and ODM campaigner, who collapsed on Monday at her home in Nairobi.
According to reports, Ombasa was declared dead on arrival at Nairobi Hospital despite efforts by doctors to resuscitate her.
Context and Previous Losses ¶
Ombasa's death follows the loss of other key figures associated with Odinga, including Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang and his eldest son, Fidel Odinga, earlier in the year.
Odinga described Ombasa as a non-tribal peace crusader and a fierce ODM campaigner.
