A warrant of arrest has been issued for lawyer Kethi Kilonzo after she failed to appear in court for the hearing of a criminal case against her.
Nairobi Chief Magistrate Ann Ndungu issued the warrant in the case where Kethi is accused of stealing a voter’s registration acknowledgement slip.
According to the trial magistrate, the court was informed that Kethi had obtained an order stopping the criminal case pending the hearing of an application before the High Court. However, the order has not been served on the lower court to ascertain if the criminal case has been halted by the High Court.
Kethi is charged alongside Godfrey Lemiso, an officer from the IEBC.
