On July 22, 2019, Atlanta-based rapper Future was at Ibiza Airport in Spain when a group of 10 men approached him, asking for a picture in exchange for 'favours'. Future, tired from a long flight, declined, saying 'Not today, guys.'
According to TMZ, the men 'erupted' in anger, yelling racial slurs at Future, prompting his bodyguard to intervene. A viral video shows a man running up behind the bodyguard and punching him so hard that he knocks him out to the ground.
Future's team quickly pulled him away from the altercation, and the bodyguard eventually got up, still dazed. The incident has drawn comparisons to the case of A$AP Rocky, who is currently serving a three-week prison sentence in Sweden after a fight with two pedestrians.
Andeson Paak, a fellow rapper, expressed his support for A$AP Rocky, saying, 'I feel bad for him, man. He should be out. I feel rappers should unite in general. A$AP gotta get out ASAP.'
Paak also criticized the treatment of A$AP Rocky, saying, 'They don't treat Rocky the same way they treat someone else. All that time that's passed, I don't know what's going on with him now, but all the time he's just sitting...you can't put no price on that.'
