The European Union has allocated KES 500 million to support counties affected by drought.
The funds will be disbursed through the National Drought Management Agency to 23 arid and semi-arid counties, aiming to mitigate the effects of low rainfall on livestock and humans.
Erik Habers, Head of development at the EU in Kenya, stated that an additional KES 650 million will be provided for drought mitigation activities.
