Blogger Robert Alai was arrested, according to reports. He had been summoned by the CID to provide a statement regarding his Facebook and Twitter posts about the grabbing of Langata and Ruai lands. Alai is expected to appear in court.
This is his second arrest in two months. In December, he was arrested and charged for referring to President Uhuru’s development projects in Kibera slums as ‘child’s play’. At the time, he was released on a cash bail of 200,000 shillings.
