A video intern at Rupu, John Kamau, created a parody of the popular blind date show Tujuane. The parody was initially intended as an in-house joke but was leaked on YouTube, where it gained significant attention and went viral due to its humorous content.

Despite initial concerns, Rupu viewed the viral video as a potential business opportunity, recognizing its potential to increase revenues from online deals. Instead of facing disciplinary action, Kamau was appointed as the new creative designer for Rupu. He has since worked on a second edit of ‘Tujuane’, featuring Rahab and Dennis, which aired on November 5, 2013.

The recovered account cited reporting by Ghafla.
