Last Sunday, DJ MO and his wife Size 8 hosted a harambee to raise money for Size 8’s mother’s kidney transplant in India.
The event drew a disappointing turnout from the gospel music community, with only a few artists attending and contributing minimal amounts. One gospel artist donated just Ksh 1,000, despite the medical bill being estimated at Ksh 2.5 Million.
In contrast, several secular artists showed their support for DJ MO and his wife. According to allegations, popular gospel mixmaster Dj Sadic may have played a role in the low turnout from the gospel community. Sadic allegedly mobilized other gospel celebrities to skip the event, citing that DJ MO and Size 8 were financially stable enough to cover the medical expenses themselves.
However, it is also claimed that Sadic's actions were motivated by a desire for revenge, stemming from his belief that he was fired from NTV due to DJ MO's involvement.
As a result, DJ MO has decided to delete the phone numbers of the gospel celebrities who failed to support him during his time of need.
