A street urchin who made headlines for picking up and returning KSh 200,000 to a stranger has been admitted to a rehabilitation center.
Vincent Omondi, a 2012 graduate of St Paul University with a degree in Business Information Technology, had been struggling with depression and drug addiction after his mother died of cancer in 2008.
Omondi's story gained attention online, with many Kenyans launching a search for him. According to his sister Beryl, he has now been taken to a rehab center, although the location was not disclosed.
Several campaigns have been started on Facebook to raise funds and support Omondi's recovery from drug addiction.
