According to Robert Alai Onyango, President Uhuru's speech on the Mpeketoni terror attack implicated several parties.

  • Raila
  • Safaricom Network for allegedly jamming signals during the incident
  • Junior and clueless officers, including Leonard Omollo
  • Members of the public who were out at night

Alai stated that there was no evidence provided to explain how Raila was involved in the attack, but suggested that an arrest might be forthcoming.

Alai criticized President Uhuru's message, calling it reckless and uninformed. He alleged that the President relies on advice from ethnic chauvinists, such as Mutahi Ngunyi and Moses Kuria.

Alai argued that if speaking out against ethnic discrimination can lead to violence, then those responsible for making discriminatory appointments should also face charges. He emphasized that Kenya belongs to all its citizens, and no single community is superior to others.

Alai claimed to have spoken to someone close to Raila, who informed him that Raila had been told he might be placed under house arrest. However, Alai stated that Raila was not afraid of being arrested.
