A lawmaker has spoken out about the issue of sponsors and college girls. According to Millie Odhiambo, MP for Mbita and a women's activist, some ladies seek out sponsors for financial support and a desired lifestyle.
Warning to Sponsors ¶
Millie Odhiambo has warned sponsors who engage in relationships with younger women that they must take responsibility for any children born out of these relationships. Often, the burden of raising children and managing the consequences of unprotected sex falls on the women involved.
Millie Odhiambo emphasized the need for sponsors to be accountable for their actions, particularly when it comes to the children they may father during their sponsorships.
