Policewoman Linda Okello, known for wearing a tight skirt during official duty, has been transferred from the traffic department to a general duty officer in Molo.

Okello was demoted from corporal to constable in January 2016, after she was reportedly found with a KSh 1,000 note during an operation, amid corruption allegations.

She had sought the court's intervention twice over the tight skirt saga and her subsequent demotion. Okello claimed she was due for promotion in March 2016, due to her hard work and dedication, but that was before the incident.

The transfer comes a year after her demotion and two years after she gained fame. Okello has now been moved from Kiambu to Molo police station, where she will serve as a general duties officer.

The recovered account cited reporting by Tuko.
