Robert Alai has expressed his opinion about the people of Nairobi, stating that they have no hobbies apart from consuming drugs and alcohol.
According to Alai, Nairobians are not genuine fans of rugby or soccer, but rather use these interests as a cover for their addiction to drugs. He advises them to seek help and find real hobbies.
Alai says,
"I have studied Nairobians. If they don’t have any form of enjoyment beyond alcohol and drugs, they will hide it in some fake passion for RUGBY (they don’t understand a single rule) and soccer. You will see them wear ManU, Arsenal and Gor Mahia jerseys but beyond their team, they know not more than 3 other teams in the same league. Don’t hide your alcoholism or drug abuse in fake passion for sports. Look for help."
