A leading provider of security tracking devices based in Nairobi is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Head of Emergency & Monitor/Fleet Manager.
The ideal candidate should possess strong supervisory skills, a mature personality, and the ability to manage people. The role involves tracking vehicles across the Kenyan border and ensuring consistent tracking in neighboring countries, including Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, and Sudan.
Duties and Responsibilities ¶
- Track vehicles and monitor their movement while ensuring consistent transmission of data.
- Enter installation details into the control application and ensure successful transmission of units.
- Monitor and report vehicle abuse, over-speeding, and inform relevant parties.
- Facilitate the recovery of stolen or hijacked vehicles through liaison with police officers, customers, and the team.
- Ensure effective shift exchange and handover between controllers.
- Maintain internet connectivity and contact the service provider when necessary.
- Immobilize or de-mobilize units as per bank or customer requests, following guidelines and procedures.
- Provide monthly reports on unit status to Starcom systems.
- Train staff and clients on system usage.
- Develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Provide customized reports to fleet customers.
- Allocate geo-fence requests to clients.
Required Qualifications ¶
- Degree in Procurement and Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in fleet management, with a focus on operations.
- Computer skills and good presentation and communication skills.
- Experience in installing tracking devices on vehicles is required.
