A video has emerged showing the moment a helicopter pilot accompanying Deputy President William Ruto allegedly harassed and physically assaulted a female police officer in Nyandarua.
According to the original account, the incident occurred when Ruto visited the area to attend a church service, drawing a large crowd that gathered to see the helicopter.
The pilot, who appeared to be frustrated, confronted a female police officer standing nearby, questioning why she was not doing her job. He attempted to take her baton, suggesting he would intervene himself.
In the video, the pilot is heard saying, 'Give me that... Well then tell these people to move back,' after the officer refused to hand over the baton.
The situation escalated, with the pilot assaulting the officer as the crowd screamed for him to stop. The pilot is heard shouting, 'Jesus Christ. Do your f@#! job…' as the officer fell to the ground.
A tweet by Robin Njogu shared a clip of the incident, which occurred on Sunday during Ruto's visit to Nyandarua.
The Inspector General has since ordered an immediate investigation into the matter.
