A leading security solutions provider is seeking a Zone Manager to oversee security operations in the Nairobi zone. The salary range for this position is Ksh 65,000 to 80,000.
The company provides manned guarding, K-9 guarding, investigations, VIP protection, and cash-in-transit services to a diverse range of clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team and ensuring that services are delivered in a quality and cost-effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities ¶
- Supervise day-to-day security operations, including deployment, supervision, and allocation of duties at client sites.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of supervisors, liaison officers, and other assigned personnel.
- Ensure that services are delivered in a quality and cost-effective manner within the assigned zone.
- Maintain proper communication channels between employees and headquarters.
- Perform spot checks on staff and guards in their respective areas.
- Oversee compliance with company policies, including health and safety.
- Ensure that all employees portray a corporate brand image.
- Inspect guarding uniforms, company vehicles, and equipment.
- Ensure that all assignment instructions and incident reports are prepared.
- Investigate incidents and prepare incident reports.
- Help solve problems that affect service, efficiency, and productivity in the zone.
- Ensure that client requirements, requests, complaints, and suggestions are resolved.
- Conduct safety and health checks on all premises where services are being rendered.
- Conduct and attend monthly parades and prepare reports.
- Work with assigned personnel to ensure that all scheduled hours are met.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and the customer.
- Prepare all required reports as per documented processes.
- Recommend and develop strategies to improve the quantity and quality of service delivered.
- Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills ¶
- Diploma or degree in business or security-related studies.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in operations or supervision in security.
- Candidates holding similar positions are preferred.
- Result-oriented, self-motivated, and energetic.
- Computer literacy and good knowledge of accounting packages.
- Good communication and presentation skills at a senior level.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Team player.
