According to Bernard Koruta, the senior warden of Kenya Wildlife Service in Narok county, some residents in the area allegedly collaborate with poachers to kill wild animals in the Maasai Mara Game Park.
Koruta stated that these poachers use financial incentives to entice local residents into helping them kill elephants, which are a significant source of economic benefit for the county. He claimed that some individuals accept money and gifts, such as food, in exchange for their support.
