A male student was stabbed at the University of Nairobi during an election exercise for the lead commissioner overseeing the upcoming students’ elections.
Calphord Odhiambo, who is running for the Secretary General position, was stabbed in the stomach. According to reports, the stabbing was carried out by individuals allegedly hired to disrupt the election process.
Odhiambo, a supporter of chairman aspirant Dennis Njeru, received medical attention at MP Shah Hospital.
Denial of Involvement
An individual known as Babu has denied any role in the incident.
