The National Alliance (TNA) Chairman, Johnson Sakaja, has stated that Deputy President William Ruto’s URP members are the most corrupt people in Government.
Sakaja also mentioned that TNA will cut links with URP if their partnership was based on corruption.
In response, URP lawmaker and Turkana Women's Representative, Joyce Emanikor, criticized Sakaja for saying it is only the URP side of Government that is corrupt.
Emanikor stated, "It is unfortunate that such crop of leaders surround State House. Birds of a feather flock together and Kenyans know the genesis of corruption in this country." She added, "I am not surprised that TNA is silently happy at the renewed quarrels between KANU and URP".
Sakaja’s comments came after three Cabinet Secretaries allied to URP were forced to step aside following their inclusion in the EACC dossier presented to Parliament by President Uhuru. The affected secretaries were Davis Chirchir (Energy), Felix Koskei (Agriculture), and Kazungu Kambi. Additionally, Ruto’s Chief of Staff, Maryanne Keitany, resigned due to corruption allegations.
