Mohammed Ali, an investigative journalist with KTN's Jicho Pevu, was arrested and taken to Gigiri police station for questioning.
According to reports, Ali had written numerous Facebook posts criticizing the Jubilee government and President Uhuru's administration. However, it is unclear if these posts were the reason for his arrest.
