The 10th Annual Channel O Africa Music Video Awards ceremony was held at Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown Soweto, where the winners were announced live on Channel O.
The awards, which featured performances by various African artists, including Cassper Nyovest, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, recognized the best in African music videos. The winners were chosen by music fans through voting via SMS, web, and WAP over a period of two months.

- P Square won the Special Recognition Award and Most Gifted African West Video for Alingo.
- Oscar Oskido Mdlongwa won Most Gifted African South Video for Tsa Mandebele.
- AKA won the Channel O Africa Music Video Award for Most Gifted Hip Hop Video for Jealousy.
- Zeus won Most Gifted Male Video for #DatsWasup, featuring AKA and Tumi.
- Zonke won Most Gifted Female Video for Feelings.
- Khaya Mthethwa won Most Gifted Newcomer Video for Move.
- Zone Fam won Most Gifted Duo/Group/Featuring for Contolola.
- Wizkid won the biggest category, Most Gifted Video of the Year, for Azonto.
The genre categories were also highly contested, with wins for The Soil, Professor, Mafikizolo, Banky W, and P Unit.
