A young woman named Nokuthula Hlongwane Thuleh has shocked the social media sphere after posting a series of messages relating to her departure before jumping to her death from her 13th-floor flat.
People in her life initially thought the 21-year-old was just feeling down, but her actions proved tragic. A post about her suicide has been circulating on Facebook, with many users commenting on the tragedy.
Circumstances Surrounding Her Death ¶
According to Daily Sun, Hlongwane's boyfriend of four years, Scelo Mthethwa, stated that she was experiencing severe pain from her womb. Mthethwa said,
"When the pain got serious, she wouldn’t go to work and I could see she felt useless."
Mthethwa was devastated by her decision to jump from her flat, just a day after she told him she planned to bid farewell to her colleagues, which he assumed meant she was quitting her job.
Hlongwane's last Facebook posts indicated that she was planning to take her life. In one post, she tagged her best friend and wrote,
Oooh God she has always been there for me through hard times and happy times, God Thando I know gonna Miss me but what else can I do. Love you Friend ALWAYS.
Hlongwane also left letters for Mthethwa and her family, stating that she was releasing them from the burden of caring for her, as reported by Daily Sun.
