Bahati has spoken publicly for the first time about his son, Morgan's life. Morgan was found abandoned by his mother after birth near a riverbank in Mathare.
According to Bahati, Morgan's story began under difficult circumstances. The child was rescued from a dumping site area near Gitathuro River in Mathare by staff from ABC Kenya Children Home. At the time of his rescue, Morgan had developed health complications, but he has since recovered.
Bahati's Reflections on Fatherhood ¶
Bahati reflected on his experience as a father, stating that parenthood is not solely about blood ties, age, or readiness, but rather about the willingness to change a life. He expressed gratitude for the presence of Morgan in his life, describing him as one of the greatest things to have happened to him.
Bahati said, "For Rose and Purity I may not know what exactly to give them, but I try to be the best dad I can. But to me, #MORGAN has been one of the greatest things that happened in my life. I got to realize that parenthood is not about blood, not about age or being ready... but it's about the willingness to change a life."
Bahati also shared how Morgan has taught him patience and understanding, and how he has made changes in his own life, such as stopping certain behaviors, in order to be a better role model for his children.
Morgan's Story ¶
Bahati hopes that Morgan will one day share his story with the world. He expressed his commitment to making his children proud and asked for prayers for his family to be complete someday.
