Mama Lucy Kibaki was laid to rest on Saturday, May 7, at her home in Othaya, Nyeri constituency.
Among the prominent persons missing from the burial was Chief Justice Willy Mutunga. At the time, he was in Huruma, consoling with the survivors of a building collapse that killed at least 35 people.
