On February 29, 2016, Kenyan officials reportedly received intelligence that al-Shabaab militants were planning to attack airports in Kenya. However, the Kenya Airports Authority later denied that the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Moi International Airport were targets of terror attacks.
