Wilson Malaba, the former fiancé of Esther Arunga, has spoken about their tumultuous relationship and its aftermath. The two were set to marry in April 2010 but broke up just two months prior to the planned wedding.

According to Malaba, he and Arunga met through a social forum called CINEMA (Christians In Entertainment and Media), which brought together Christians in the entertainment industry. At the time, Malaba had just ended another relationship, and his pastor, Joseph Hellon, introduced him to Arunga, suggesting they were spiritually connected.

Malaba and Arunga started dating in October 2009 and got engaged two months later. However, Malaba describes their relationship as awkward, with him being the one who constantly initiated contact. He felt an emotional disconnect between them.

My previous relationships weren’t very good and I have had my fair share of girls I shouldn’t have dated in the first place.

Malaba attributes the end of their relationship to the influence of Quincy Timberlake, a man who claimed connections to prominent figures like Obama and Tony Blair. Malaba recounts that Esther had told him Quincy was pestering her, and when they finally met, Malaba found Quincy's behavior suspicious.

The relationship took a turn for the worse when Malaba received a text from his pastor, stating he was no longer part of the church due to alleged involvement with Freemasonry. Following this, Esther sent Malaba a text message accusing him of adultery and ceased communication.

That night, I had a dream that I would be separated from Esther. The following morning when I tried calling her, she wasn’t picking my calls.

The aftermath of their breakup was devastating for Malaba, with his reputation tarnished, businesses lost, and a period of isolation. He has since rebuilt his life, crediting a pastor named David Mathu for helping him understand that God has a reason for everything.

Malaba is now married to a former model, with whom he has a child. Reflecting on his past relationship with Esther Arunga, he expresses sympathy for her recent loss but maintains that chapter of his life is closed.

She is no longer a part of my life. It’s annoying that people still call and send me links to update me about her life.
