A report by Citizen TV's Nipashe featured allegations that Dr. Mugo Wa Wairimu had assaulted a pregnant woman at his clinic in Githurai.
According to the report, Citizen TV had received complaints from patients and subsequently installed a hidden camera at the clinic to gather evidence.
The footage appeared to show a patient visiting the clinic due to discomfort in her lower abdomen. Dr. Mugo Wa Wairimu then invited her to his private room and closed the door.
The patient explained her symptoms, and Dr. Mugo Wa Wairimu instructed her to lie on the bed. He then administered a drug that caused the woman to lose consciousness.
The footage further seemed to show Dr. Mugo Wa Wairimu engaging in inappropriate behavior with the woman. Afterward, he attempted to destroy evidence by wiping the woman's private parts with a drug and a towel.
Dr. Mugo Wa Wairimu then wrote a report stating that the woman did not have any ailments. When a Citizen TV crew visited the clinic to question him about the allegations, he refused to speak with them and instructed his assistant to ask the crew to leave.
