A search of University of Nairobi hostels by police resulted in the recovery of 25kgs of bhang, blood-stained knives, and nine pangas.
The operation followed claims made by NACADA chairman John Mututho that senior police officers were allegedly protecting criminal gangs involved in the sale and distribution of drugs within and outside the university.
