The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has warned that Kenya may return to the civil strife seen during the 2007/2008 post-election violence if politicians do not reject violence and embrace dialogue.

NCIC Chairman Francis Ole Kaparo urged politicians to stop putting Kenyans' lives at risk. His warning came as twelve Western envoys and some legislators condemned Monday's violence and called for calm and dialogue.

Ahead of a two-day inter-religious council retreat to address the IEBC stalemate, K24's Apollo Kamau reported on the developments.
