Rosemary Odinga, the eldest daughter of NASA co-leader Raila Odinga, has sent a heartwarming message to Kenyans from her hospital stay in South Africa, where she is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove a brain tumor.
Rosemary was admitted to the hospital with serious headaches caused by a malignant brain tumor and was flown to South Africa on Tuesday, February 28, accompanied by her mother, sister, and their family doctor, Oluoch Olunya.
While in South Africa, Rosemary took to social media to post a message for Kenyans and her fans on Wednesday, March 1. She wrote, "A new month signifies new beginnings. If things did not go your way in February, March is offering you a second chance. Make good use of it. I wish you all a blessed Month."
Her message touched Kenyans, who posted messages of support and wishes for her quick recovery. Some of the messages included: "Wish you a quick recovery our dear daughter. I propose the ODM fraternity spares you the rigorous campaigns and nominates you to the National Assembly or Senate..., "QUICK RECOVERY, ROSEMARY. By the stripes of Jesus you're well," and "Wow happy to hear from you our beloved sister. Quick recovery we are praying for you."
Rosemary had announced that she would be vying for the Kibra MP seat on an ODM ticket, her father's party, before her health condition worsened.
