Elva Olunga, a young woman from the Luo community, was found dead after being reported missing for several days. According to the original account, Olunga had met John Omija through the Kisumu Dads group on Facebook in 2010, and they began dating.
Olunga and Omija's relationship was marked by turmoil, including multiple abortions and a temporary divorce of Omija from his wife. The situation escalated when Olunga started sending abusive messages to Omija's wife, leading to a temporary separation.
In a social media post, Omija wrote:
"In 2010 a lady called Beatrice Adhiambo Otieno did this to me. She died like a dog and buried next to a toilet………Now Elva Akinyi Olunga is doing the same crap…..Will pee on your mouth in the mortuary!!!!!!!!!!"
The relationship between Olunga and Omija officially ended in 2016, with Omija vowing to take revenge. Three months later, Olunga was found dead, and her remains were taken to a mortuary.
