Ciku Muiruri has written a powerful piece following the ICC Nakuru Victory party by the ICC-6, which she believes mocked victims of the 2008 post-election violence.

Muiruri suggests that the ICC-6 should watch the series American Crime Story - The People vs OJ Simpson. She draws parallels between OJ Simpson's acquittal and the ICC-6's celebration, stating that an acquittal from a court of law is not an acquittal from public opinion.

Muiruri notes that OJ Simpson's trial became a farce, with the 'not guilty' verdict being a protest against years of abuse by the LAPD. She also highlights that Simpson eventually ended up in prison for a separate offense, suggesting that justice can be served in different ways.

Muiruri addresses the victims of post-election violence, acknowledging their pain and feelings of injustice. She assures them that those responsible will eventually face consequences, saying 'malipo ni hapa hapa' (payment is here).
