A former cabinet secretary and ODM nominated MP, Musa Sirma, has joined the Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP), following a personal request from Deputy President William Ruto.
Sirma, a longtime ally of ODM leader Raila Odinga, made this move ahead of the 2017 elections. He was among the few Rift Valley politicians who remained with ODM during the previous elections, while many members of the Kalenjin community left to join the United Republican Party (URP).
